Sarah Krohn develops and directs new work and adaptations. Recent projects include THE VIRGIN WOODS by Mary Clohan (Rutgers University), VEIL’D by Monet Hurst-Mendoza (Women’s Project), HORSE GIRLS by Jenny Rachel Weiner (the cell), THE PITS by Joshua Harmon (Williamstown Theater Festival), PARADE (Yale Dramat); and LETTERS TO GUANTANAMO (New Georges/Culture Project). She co-conceived and directed VICTOR FRANGE PRESENTS GAS, Dan O’Neil’s new adaptation of Georg Kaiser’s Gas I, which was presented at NYC’s Incubator Arts Project.
She has directed and developed work through New Dramatists, Clubbed Thumb, New Georges, The Playwright’s Realm, NYTW, Soho Rep, The Flea Theater, Williamstown Theater Festival, Dixon Place, JACK, Boston Center for the Arts, and New Repertory Theater, among others.
Sarah has been co-leader of the New Georges Jam, a group for early career writers and directors, since 2014. She is a former Time Warner Foundation Fellow at Women’s Project Theater and an alumnus of Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab and the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. She is a past recipient of an Audrey Residency from New Georges and the Williamstown Theater Festival Sagal Fellowship. Sarah received her MFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon and her BA in English from Columbia University.
